Project bathroom 80% done

Only thing left is putting tiles in the shower. We are going to have a black board over the low cabinet next to the sink, going shopping tomorrow. 

Light installation

Installing spotlights in the bathroom over the sink, the toilet and the shower. 

When the jobs becomes more than what you asked for!

We (read Arnstein) had prepared the ceiling in the bathroom, plaster, waterproof and was ready to paint it.... It was loose and came off. So now we have to start with changing the ceiling. 

But it's just to put on your work clothes and get started

Phase one in operation driveway is done. I've managed to remove almost all grass from it. Now it's ready for phase two, operation bulldozer. Phase three is cementing it!!

Laundry and workshop are coming together. Furniture is in place. Now we just have to move in the washing machine and put up lines to hang the laundry :-) and obviously clean the rooms

Few days in Iceland

Spent the weekend in Iceland. We arrived on Friday, in the evening we had what we thought was a dinner with my girls. Turned out they had planned a bachelorette party for me. So much fun.
Saturday I had a reunion with the kids from high school. We had a blast, started early and played football at the school grounds, looked around in our old school (everything was so small) went out for dinner and then a party.
Sunday my cousins had a confirmation party. Monday we just relaxed, Arnstein has helped Maggi with his new apartment so soon he can move in.
Today we're leaving but we see you at our wedding in August

Going to Växjöcity

Tomorrow I'm gonna spend the day with my girls Caroline and Jessica, we're going shopping, looking at bridesmaid dress for Jess and hopefully I will find some shoes. Later in the afternoon Arnstein and Sebbe will join us and we're planning on a great night in Jessica's and Sebbe's new place. Pj party!!

Weddingplanning

Now that the invitations are out and I have ordered my weddingdress. I really don't know what to do with myself. Feels like i have all the time in the world.
This weekend we are going to Växjö to meet with Jessica, Sebbe and Caroline. Look att Jessicas new apartment, have a nice dinner together and just generally have a good time.
Next weekend, Iceland it is......

Home again

Back home after a few days in Germany. The convent was nice, not as many stereotype computer geeks as I thought there would be, apart from the computer game hall. I mean grown ups sitting and playing games and lines of enthusiastic players waiting their turn.
We ate lunch at Münchener halle, this great Bavarian restaurant where the waitresses carry up to 12L of beer at time all in the spirit of Octoberfest.
My all time favorite of the convent war this washing machine we saw at a design 2013 exhibition, why hasn't anybody thought of a bright pink washing machine before?

Time for a new trip outside of the boarders

Later this afternoon we are driving to Hannover in Germany, there's this IT-conference (cebit for those of you who know the business) going on down there and since its been awhile since Arnstein was there he wants to go. Feel so sorry for myself going abroad with him ;-)
From what I understand its huge, so I hope I won't get lost.

What to do in a 36 hours cruise to Poland

We left Karlskrona last night with the ferry in the good old Chevy van, destination shopping in Poland. We arrived early this morning and drove off to Ikea, after a refreshing cup of coffee at KFC we started hanging and banging at the door untill it finally opened at 10 o'clock. There we bought a new stove and looked at cabins and a sink for the bathroom upstairs but decided to wait. After Ikea we drove to Castorama the perfect retail store when building or renovating houses. There we bought tiles for the laundry room and the basement bathroom. After stocking the car it was pretty heavy, actually it was staling so Ikea had to wait. It's not that there wasn't room in the car, it was to heavy. Still we are happy with today's purchases, we have a few projects we can start with. And Poland is only a boat trip away.

Now we are back on the ferry heading home.

Diet and work-out month is over and I am 6 kg and 10 cm poorer.
Next project will be to keep on eating healthy and work-out. Maybe not every day but keep up the good work.
We got our rings yesterday so now we are marked for life :-)

The final week

The last week of my diet and work-out has begun. Yesterday was a measurement day and from the beginning I've lost 8 cm around my waist and 2,3 kg I think that's good in only 20 days. Next Thursday will bring the final results.

It's not been hard at all. I've gotten used to do my exercises, sure some days are harder and I'm not as motivated but afterwards I feel so good so it's worth it. The diet is no problem either, requires a little planning, make snacks and meals ready to take with me before I go to work, have a smoothie with me in the car when I go shopping, in case it takes longer then expected.

My cravings for candy disappeared after a week, for those of you who know me well and know about my love affair with chocolate, well we broke up. I have no problem walking past it in the store, haven't even opened the candy cupboard at work (my Achilles' heel, especially at night) and left alone the valentines chocolate hearts standing so invitedly on the kitchen table. I feel strong.

Work-out and diet

Been following my work-out and diet schedule for 15 days now. After 10 days I had lost almost 2 kg and 5 cm around my waste.
Now I do most of my work-out in my bat cave in the garage and its not even a burden anymore, just a part of everyday life

Yesterday Arnstein proposed to me. Not the usual way. He got down on one knee just before a songconsert we were on (Swedish takeout for Eurovision) talked into a microphone and they showed on the big screen tv when he says Anna will you marry me. All shaky I managed a weak YES.

Home again

Back in reality after a great week in Sälen.
There's something charming about walking around the cabin in your long johns. Thankfully I work in "pajamas" so the change is ok. Start working tonight.
4 days until I will kick start my training and get a new diet. I'm sorry now if I'm unusually cranky in February, well getting off sugar ain't easy.

Cracking the code!

Break from skies tomorrow, I'm going to keep Arnstein company to Leksand, he has a meeting there. So we will take a little trip and go to Mora since we are driving past it. So in one trip I will see both start (Sälen) and finish (Mora) for Vasaloppet a 90 km ski-race

Great day

We went to hundfjället today. The slopes were better, longer and I managed to stay upright all day. -19° today but not a cloud in the sky and no wind so it was good.
We ate lunch at the top of the mountain, very nice.
After skiing we went to a aqua park, bubble pools, sauna, so nice.
Back in the cabin, taking it easy on the couch with a glass of wine.

Skiing

Only -24 degrees in the morning when we went outside. I rented ski gear and then we hit the slopes. Stood on skies for the first time in 15 years, went ok. We took one long ride, which I didn't like, to steep for me. So I went back to the easy children's slopes and it was fine after that.

Now some food, beer and sauna to warm up our stiff body's.

Sälen

We have arrived in Sälen after almost 10 hours on the road. -17 degrees, at least there is no Mosquitos.
The cabin is wonderful. Planning for an early night. Will rent skies in the morning and then we are off to the slopes. 15 years since last time.

My shiny new toy

Happy new.....

Lot of new things happening in the beginning of the new year.
I had a postcard in Morgunblaðið, a personal greeting for friends and relatives in Iceland. I took a new car for a test drive and well, tomorrow I'm leaving my car at the shop for evaluation, how much it's worth. The bitchmobile may be up for sale soon.
20th of January we are going skiing in Sälen for a week. Haven't been skiing since I was 19, but hey there's always the children's slope right!!
Well just a small update

Merry Christmas

I wish you all a merry Christmas.
We are 6 adults and the tree is drowning under the presents.

Christmas decorations

The Christmas tree is decorated, even our dancers on the wall are ready for Christmas and the Christmas cat can't get a hold of them. I have also gotten a new dress for Christmas so me to am safe.

Made lussebullar tonight, glöggparty at the office tomorrow.
Made Christmas sweets and made boxes and left at Arnsteins office, both for him to have for clientsthat come by and I made boxed for his staff Emelie and Peter as a Christmas present :-)

Snow

We got about 20 cm snow during the night, ended my nightshift with shuffling loads of snow. The people here aren't so familiar with so much snow so it's quite chaotic for everybody.

Made meatballs today for the first time, taste ok too :-)
Thinking about hiring the granny in the pic, no matter what I've been doing my weight doesn't change. If granny here shoots my weight I won't go to jail for murder

Free exercise

Having a big no sorry huge garden can have its advantages. Was outside today raking leaves and started my runtastic just for fun to see how far I walked and surprisingly I walked 1,36 km and burned 650 kcal ☺ Cant complain can I?

Icecream

Arnstein got a icecreammaker for his birthday. We tried it this weekend. Yesterday we made chocolate icecream from cream and today we made vanilla icecream which I lay on top of a marengue I made, and extra chocolatesause was optional :-) Very nice dessert. Like a great person once said "practice makes perfect" so poor us who have to keep trying ;-)
