Both have good and bad things in our yard.

Found a big dead rat this morning in our yard. Thankfully it was dead and I hope the cat got it, and leaving it behind was to send a message to other rats to keep away.
But I have other good things in our yard. I have planted garlic for next year, I picked 2,8 kg blackberries and put in the freezer and the tomatoes are just perfect.

Politically involved?

As those of you who know me know I am not very political, not at all actually. But then again it's all a definition, if sleeping with a person who's politically involved makes me politically involved, then count me in. I'm going to a political dinner tonight. Arnsteins party is having a kick-off today and the evening ends with a dinner where wifes/husbands/boyfriends/girlfriends are welcome. Hope they just don't talk politics :-)

Harvesting

It's harvest time. I have harvested blackberries (still loads more on the bushes) red currant, rhubarb and now grapes. I can make pies out of the berries and rhubarb but what to do with all the grapes? Make wine? All ideas are appreciated

I'm a survivor

Yesterday we went to this surstömmingskiva, where friends come together and eat fermented herring and drink a lot of snaps. According to Wikipedia surströmming is Surströmming (pronounced [sʉ̌ːʂtrœmːɪŋ], Swedish "soured (Baltic) herring") is a northern Swedish dish consisting of fermented Baltic herring. Surströmming is sold in cans, which may bulge after prolonged storage, due to the continued fermentation. When opened, the contents release a strong and sometimes overwhelming odour; the dish is often eaten outdoors. A Japanese study has shown that the smell of a newly opened can of surströmming is the most putrid smell of food in the world, beating similar fermented fish dishes such as the Korean Hongeohoe or Japanese Kusaya.[1]

Eaten with tunnbröd, loads of creme fraise, onions, potatoes and tomatoes it's ok, the worst part is the smell.
Believe me when I tell you it's horrible, absolutely disgusting. When they opened the cans, the juice pushed its way out like a fountain and the smell that followed made me gag.
Today my only plan is to recover from this experience.

A short update

Our guests have left after a great week of sightseeing, shopping (mum and Helga) and general good time. The trip to Poland we have talked about since I moved here 9 years ago finally happened.

After our guests left we took the flight to stockholm to pick up our new car. We went to the theater, premier of top girls, walked through old town and enjoyed the atmosphere of the big city.

Back in buisness

4 weeks go by very fast when you have a good time. Time to start working again.

Mum, dad, Helga and Anna Kristín came last friday and are staying for a week. We spent the weekend in Poland, Gdynia, G'dansk and Sopot, shopping (mum and Helga) sightseeing and generally just having a good time.

Home sweet home

At home after 2 wonderful weeks traveling. Been spending the last two days in the garden, moving the lawn, removing weed and trimming the rosebushes.
Now the wallpaper in the dining room is up, the walls are painted and all we need is to find curtains that will complete the room.

Day 13, sista resdagen

Sista resdagen. Vi körde från Magdeburg via Hamburg lübeck, puttgarden med ett snabbt stop i bordershop eftersom av en konstig anledning osvsett hur mycket bagagr man har, går det alltid att trycka in en låda vin eller var det sju.
Vi tog färjan från puttgarden över till Rødby och in i nionde landet på resan därifrån är det raka vägen hem via Köpenhamn och Skåne. Även om vi har haft en fantastisk resa kommer det att bli skönt att lägga huvudet på sin egen kudde ikväll.

Sammanfattning av resan:
Kilometer vi åkt: 4500 km
Timmar i bilen: ca 68 timmar
Länder vi åkt igenom: 9
Länder vi sovit över i: 5
Soltimmar: många underbara timmar
Snorkling: spanat in olika fiskar stora och små samt lite koraller.
Öl/ vin intag: vem bryr sig, vi har semester men vi har säkert delat på minst en låda vin.
Resans upptäckt: kroatiskt rödvin från istria.
Favorit boende: rooms Radivoj på ön Krk, underbart par som gjorde allt de kunde för att göra vår vistelse så bra som möjligt.
Överraskning:
1) Kofola är tjeckisk kola inte mörk underbar öl.
2) Det går att få serverad blaskig dålig öl i Tjeckien
3) Att man betalat motorvägsavgift i Tjeckien, Slovakien, Österrike och Slovenien visas i form av klistermärke i framrutan i bilen, våran avsaknad av ett sånt klistermärke resulterade i böter på 20€
Roligaste bemötande: kyparen i Tjeckien som efter tyskinspirerad teckenspråk förstod att vi var ute efter 2 rum, mat och dryck.
Billigaste maten: på hotellet i Polen, 350 SEK för oss 4 med efterrätt och flaska vin, de hade ett vin att välja på, det tog vi och det var jättegott.
Bästa maten: i en gränd i krk, supergod italiensk mat och enorma glassar till efterrätt.

Day 12, allover Tyskland

Spenderade förmiddagen i Aichach, kollade in stadskärnan och åt lunch med Verena och Rosalie innan vi fortsatte vår resa hemåt via Nürnberg och Leipzig. Vi körde om en lastbil märkt med böldtransport, mmmm man funderar verkligen vad han gömde i sin last.
Det finns en anledning att tyskar har snabba bilar, högt tempo på autobahn är bara förnamnet. Plötsligt ser man ljus i backspegeln och några sekunder senare ser man bakljuset på samma bil när den försvinner.
Dagen avslutade vi på classic hotell i Magdeburg, med god mat och dryck.
Btw man vet att man haft en bra semester när hela familjen ställt sig på vågen och den visat error för var och en :-)

Day 11

Dagen vi befann oss i 5 länder.
Vi lämnade Krk efter frukost, vårt fantastiska värdpar löste ut oss med en gåva, deras hemmagjorda cherrybrandy. Planen var att ta ett litet dopp och njuta av de sista kroatiske solstrålarna längs vägen. Något gick snett med gps:en så vi svängde upp mot Italien tidigare än vi hade planerat. Vi bestämde oss för lunch och nytt försök till sol och bad i Trieste. Väl där körde vi genom små trånga gator och hamnade av en oklar anledning upp mot bergen igen. Efter att ha tagit oss genom små trånga gator (designade för typ Austin mini) med små trånga backar (24 gr lutning och kullersten) hittade vi till slut ett fik längs vägen där vi fick en macka och riktig kopp italiensk espresso till lunch. Vi körde sen vidare mot Udine mot den österriske gränsen. Vi hade "turen" att köra genom oväder mellan Italien och Österrike, stormbyar, spöregn och åska. Vi tog oss genom Österrike till Tyskland och övernattade hos Raggi och Verena i Aichach.

Day 10, last day

Sista dagen i paradiset. Idag tog vi höger mot stranden och sen till vänster på världens minsta grusväg och fick parkering på stranden. To our surprice hade resten av badgästerna glömt sina badkläder hemma. Solen stekte på, sanden för varm att gå på, 26 gr i havet så mycket snorkling blev det. Mycket fin strand med toa, dusch och det bästa det såldes både glass och öl.
Vid tretiden gav vi upp och körde ut mot Vbrnik, Krks vindistrikt- lunch och vinprovningar väntade oss. Ett besök och lite provsmakning på Katunar vingård blev det, jag (Doris) kände mig som en unge i godisaffär. Några flaskor shiraz, rieserva och en champagne samt en flaska efterrättsvin blev inhandlade. Eftersom det är sista kvällen åkte vi in till Krk-city för sista röjet.

Day 9

Dagen som går i historian som dagen som krävde MYCKET aftersun. Dagen var ännu varmare än igår (bara 39 gr kl 17 i bilen)
Vi spenderade dagen på FKK camping eller en naturistcamping om ni föredrar att kalla det så. Fördelen med en sån strand, ja ni vet dom pinsamma bikinikorten, dom slipper man eftersom det är förbjudit att ta kort. Du får jämn och fin bränna, inga bikiniränder. Nackdelar, ja kommer man bort från sin grupp så brukar man känna igen dom på badkläderna, inte i detta fallet alla runt om dej ser likadana ut.
Dagen var fantastisk, varmt, gott, mycket bad eftersom det var skönast att ligga i havet och svalka sig.
Möra efter dagen, spenderade vi kvällen på hotellet och tog det lite lugnt.

Day 8 Punat, plaza beach

Efter frukost körde vi mot Punat för sol, bad och snorkling. Med minnet 30 gr i luften svettades vi ner till plaza beach där det var som överallt i Kroatien clothes optional som betydde att vi kunne även sola våra vita rumpor. Verkligen varmaste dagen hittills, även asvarmt i skuggan så en öl eller två på stranden var helt underbart ljuvligt.
Kvällen ägnade vi i Krk city, träffade Jessica och Sebbe som ska åka hem imorgon. Middag och en drink eller två stod för dörren. Vi hittade liten fantastisk pizzeria, det med proscuittio på pizzan recommenderas varmt. Glass i HÖGA lass blev det till efterrätt. Avslutade kvällen på en mysig liten bar gömd inne i en gränd.

Day 7 Rt Kamenjak

Halvmulet idag med fast varmt och gott. Vi tog färjan från Valbiska över till ön Cres, körde över ön till nästa färja över till Brestova på Istria halvön. Därifrån körde vi till Pula och tog lunchpaus innan vi körde ner till Prematura ett naturreservat som heter Rt Kamenjak. Picknick på klipporna innan det blev sol, bad och snorkling. En solnedgångscola på safaribar innan vi körde hemåt igen. Middag på VTB en vägkrog vi hittade längs vägen

Day 6 Krk-island

Halvmulet runt 30 gr varmt. Vi utforskar ön. Åker och kikar på en grotta som heter Biserukja, där trodde dom att män smugglade pärlor, där fanns både stalakiter och stalagmiter. Efter grottan åkte vi till Cizici för "helande" lerbad. Lokalbefolkningen tror att det är bra för arthritis, vi kände att det blev bra för huden. Vissa gick ju all in, Tove och Doris kletade in hela kroppen i den svarta leran. För att tvätta oss efter leran körde vi ut till Silo och snorklade. 

Kvällen avslutades i Krk-city där vi träffade Jessica och Sebbe.

Day 5 Kroatien, Istria- island Krk

Åker ifrån Vozilici, i strålande sol mot Rabac för sol.och bad. Resans första dopp i adriahavet. Efter badet körde vi över till ön Krk till vårt boende Rooms Radivoj i Skribici. Åkte in till Krk-stad för middag på en trevlig restaurang  konoba corsaro vid hamnen. Träffade Jessica och Sebbe.

Slóvakía-Króatía

Körde ifrån Maribor tog lunchpaus och promenad i Ljubljana. Vidare ner mot gränsen och över till Kroatien. Inatt bor vi på apartment Renata i  Vozilici. Middag åt vi på en liten mysig restaurang nära boendet. Soligt men väldigt blåsigt.

Tékkland-Slóvakía-Austurríki-Slóvenía. Dagur 3

Körde ifrån Odry, lunchpaus och shopping i Brno tjeckiens största stad. Highway police stoppade oss i Tjeckien, vi hade glömt köpa vigniette en klisterlapp att ha i framrutan som visar att vi betalat motorvägsavgifter:-) litet äventyr på vägen.  Vidare ner till Slovakien mot Bratislava. Direkt över gränsen till Österrike mot Wien och vidare söderut mot Graz. Över gränsen till Slovenien och övernattning i Maribor på Hotell Tabor. Middag intogs på en italiensk trattoria.

Körde ifrån Kleka via Jarocin, Krotoszyn, Wroclaw över gränsen till Tjeckien. Övernattat på mysigt pensionat/restaurang i Odry. Med teckenspråk och tyska inslag gjorde kunde vi och kyparen kommunicera så vi fick rum, mat och dryck.

Eurotrip 2012 begins

Summervacation

Taking summervacation for the first time in years. To make sure we get some sun we are going on a roadtrip to Croatia. The plan is to take the ferry on the 18 or 19 of july over to Polland and drive down via Slovakia, Czech republic, Austria an Slovenia. On our way home the plan is to make a short stop in Venice and then through Germany with a quick break with Raggi and Verena

Queen of pop

Was in Gothenburg yesterday and saw the queen of pop Madonna on a concert with Jessica, Maria, Hannah, Linda and Yvette. Great show ok concert. The dancers was fenomenal, she has a great voice and a lot of good songs so overall it was great. She just needs to learn that it gets darker a little bit later in the summer here up north, she kept us waiting untill 22:30 before she started so all the lights in her show wouldnt get lost in the evening sun. Little sad cause the crowd just got tired of waiting :-(

Sweden Rock Festival

Last weekend we went to Sweden Rock Festival, one of the largest rock festivals in the world. It was so much fun, we saw so many great bands like Twisted sisters, Lynrd Skynrd, Motõrhead, Mötley crue and Slade, just to name few of them. We slept in the van, me Arnstein and Hilde in the back on madrasses and Tove in the front. A real white trash RV :-)
Tried some new things, tasted cheeseflavored dried larvae and dried crickets flavored with salt and vinegear- didnt taste much at all. But what do you do when somebody says nobody remembers a coward, you try some new food and come home with a new piercing :-)

Now i have left the keys to the apartment- no turning back and i really dont want to either. Today i have been sunbathing between dips in the pool- i know i live a tough life :-)

Going home

On our way home from Bergen. The wedding was nice, both friends and family absolutely wonderful, made me feel so welcome.
I like to belive that Norway is the country of tunnels, we have passed so many tunnels, dont even know how many and the longest one 25 km. They even have roundabouts in their tunnels- impressing!!

Good times

This weekend i moved all my stuff to my new home in Rödeby with Arnstein. Strange but a good feeling to suddenly be living in a big house. Going from living alone to be living with 1-3 persons depending on where Arnsteins girl sleep.

This weekend we are driving to Bergen for a weeding, his cousin is getting married, so i will meet the whole family as well. Is going to be fun, i have a new dress, shoes and jewelery :-)

Home sweet home

Back home from wonderful Prague.
We had the greatest time and the nicest weather (sunny and 25-30 degrees). We discovered the wonders of czech beer in microbreweries (restaurants that brew their own beer) it was so tasty and hold on..... I liked the dark beer the most.
We took a guided tour of Prague on a Segway- so much more fun than sitting on a bus, at least i think so.
Prague is such a beautiful city loaded with history and relaxed atmosphere.

Now i am preparing myself for my nect project, a course called PHTLS pregospital trauma life support, doing that next week, tuesday and wednesday, after the course, operation emptying my apartment begins!

Taking huge steps these days. I am moving to Arnstein in Rödeby. Taking it in babysteps i dont have to leave my aparement until july 31st but planning on emptying the apartment after my traumacourse in may. What to do wih all my stuff? He allready has a furnished house, i'll worry about that later

Went home early from work, not feeling to good. Fever, soar throat, runny nose and glossy eyes. Now im all tucked in bed, drinking warm lemonwater with honey for my throat, have taken panodil for the fever and now hopefully will get some sleep.

Still working out, tried kettlebells again and it was better this time, lot of techniqe doing it. Going to Josefins tripplepass today, powerpump, core and spinning 3x30 min. And the plan is to do kettlebells again on sunday when i have soberd up =)

Tomorrow is a party with coworkers, my friend Henke is at home on a leave from Afghanistan so we are going to meet up with him at Anders house, have dinner together and drink some wine, and who knows how the evening will end. 

On saturday is a birthday party for a friend, will be fun, because everybody is going to have a mask on, kind of like an eyes wide shut theme.

Work-out mania?

Wasnt my newyears resolution but i have really gotted started  in the gym. Last sunday i went out for a walk for 2 hours with my friend, we walked 9 km, later that night i went out with my bike and went 13 km. Tuesday i tried kettlebells at the gym, and it was so much fun. Yesterday it was time for 3 express passes, pump, core and spinning 30 min each. So today when all the bodyache threatened to paralyse my i went to the gym and took a 30 min intervall running session. Still t. he only muscle that doesnt hurt right now is my head :)

So now its just to keep up the good work,

Its amazing just how much little wintersun does for you mental health. Perfect day temperatur round 2°C , the sun is shining and the sky is blue :)

Happy new year

Crazy new year in Iceland. Family dinner, loads of fireworks, champagne and a party with friends after midnight.
My 3 year old nephew woke me up at 9:30, put on a pair of boxing gloves, daring me to feel hungover. I have to say i dont feel like i deserve. Spending few more days here in the snow before i go home to reality again.

The dB level on the train is worse than in my first grade in college and there were only girls in my class. Group of girls sitting behind me, talking at million/miles per hour.

Looking forward to seeing everybody, alhough its snow and cold, atleast i will get warm greetings at the airport, mu boys are picking me up :-)

Getting in christmasmood, have started decorating my apartment. The christmastree is up, lights in windows, santas on the shelves. Even my iphone got a new case with a santa =)

Tonight im going to a christmasthing with a few friends, a dinner and a show, should be fun. 

Went to Växjö yesterday, lunch and coffee with Jessica, and a little windowshopping, looking for christmaspresents.

Went to Copenhagen last weekend with a few of my coworkers. We had a interesting time at Rigshospitalet, got to see their pressurechamber, traumacenter and helipad so we were happy. After a very late lunch we went back to our hostel, we had a 12 bed dormitory room (for a 370 DDK a person in downtown Copenhagen it was totally worth it) had a predinner glas of wine, and got ready for a night out on town. We went to a Scottish pub close to the Rådhuspladsen, for drinks and dancing. My friend Henrik sold me to a danish guy who thought i was cute, he dragged me to the bar and asked if i wanted a drink or a dance. Later that night i danced with this italian guy who gave me a kiss and to on the cheek, and told me not to be scared, ehhh well i wasnt interested so thats propably why i didnt have to be scared.
Saturday we walked ströget in wind and rain, i bought a pair of Dr. Martins. When my coworkers left i waited for a friend of mine, we stayed the night in Copenhagen and drove to Germany, a bordershop on sunday. There i bought lots of wine and a little bit of booze and of course som chocolate. The car was fully loaded on the way back. And i have wine and vodka for the winter, so let the party begin.

This weekend the plan is to go to a celebrate a 40 year old.

Going to Copenhagen in a few hours, my train leaves in exatly 5 hours. Going there with friends from work, we are going to check out the hyperbaric chamber at rikshospitalet and after that make the town unsafe :)

Partyweekend

Went out on thursday with my boys, Henrik is going to Afganistan on the 5.des so it was a chance to catch up and have a beer together. It was a wet night and i had one beer or two to many and really paid the price of it yesterday.

Yesterday i went to a AW with my friends Caroline, Magdalena and Anna, we started at Scandic hotel for some wine and a bite to eat and ended the evening in Stars dancing. I dont feel like i deserve today :)

Dont think i will go out tonight but you never know what happens!

Thanks for nothing!!

Just found out this weekend my how much raise i got. Its almost embarrassing, but at least i have a job and shouldnt complain, i-landsproblem like we say here in Sweden. Would be nice if the people in charge see my job as important and give me salary according to the responability. I mean if i make misstakes i could kill somebody.

Otherwise everything is great, i am organising a little trip to Copenhagen for my coworkers. We plan on going to Rigshospitalet and check out their pressurechamber and just make Copenhagen insecure, paint the town red like we say in Iceland.

Nice weekend

Having a nice weekend. Yesterday when i woke up after my nightjob the sun was shining so i went outside for a jogg. 4,5k was nice, not too cold so it was ok.
Today im going to the gym with Josefin, first for som spinning and after that lifting weights, hope it will ease my bodyache which i have from my last workout on thursday.

Was at a halloween party last saturday with Jessica. Was so much fun, finally i could show off the real me ;) I put in a few pics from the party. So much fun when everybody dress up and really go in for it. Later that night we went to Statt and kept on partying there, they also had a halloween party so dressing up was ok and so much fun to see everybody dressed up.

This weekend is halloween in here and i am going to a halloweenparty with Jessica. I think i'll go as nurse nightmare. I can borrow a bloody apron from Josefin, and i was thinking about making a red drink in an infusionbag and pin on me and of course its all in the details so im going to have Tópas the wonderful black vodkashot in a 20 ml syringe (the nightmares i inject to my patients) just dont know what to wear under the apron, or the make up, but i have a few days to figure it out.

Turkish bath

The turkish bath in the video (the first one) is the one we visited in Antalya. Its 700 years old, all marble inside. Like I said before the turkish bath was a very interesting experience, with emphasis on interesting. Men massage men and women massage women, anything else is considered inappropriate.

Turkish bath consists of well obviously the bath part, peeling, soap massage and finished off with an oil massage.

We arrive there and the man shows us into the womens part of the hamam, there a little lady greets us and puts us into a small dressing room and tells us with gestures (she didnt speak a lot of english) to take off our clothes. I did gestures as well asking if she meant everything and pulled the string of my underwear and yes she meant EVERYTHING. We take off our clothes and she comes back with what looked like a tablecloth and wrapped it round us, gave us a pair of slippers and gestures for us to follow her. We do so and walk through a door (from the time people were only 150 cm tall) minding our head into the bath part of the hamam.

There another little bigger turkish lady takes our hand and pulls us into a steamy room with marble benches and sinks, takes the tablecloths off us and orders us to SIT next to a sink, and starts pouring hot water over us with a bowl and gestures for us to continue, which we do. About 30-40 minutes later she comes, takes my hand and gestures for me to follow her into the next room. There she tells my to lie down on my stomach on this marble table and the peeling starts. She rubbed my body with a peeling glove to get rid of all dead skin (and believe me there was plenty), some of us was quite afraid of getting fingerd and well if i tell you she wasnt shy, i hope you understand what i mean, and if you dont i can tell you she was very close to my private parts quite a few times. Turn around she orders when she was finished with my backside and starts rubbing the front side of my body. Sit she then orders and she rubbed my arms, and asked if i wanted peeling for my face, ok i said and well imagine how happy i was when i realise that the glove she is using for my face is the same one she just used to rub my ass!! Come she says and takes my to a sink, SIT and when im sitting down, she pored warm water over me to get rid of all the dead skin she has peeled off.

Come and i follow and lie down on the marble table again and she brings this huge soap bubble and starts the soap massage wich was quite nice. Turnaround she orders and well imagine a soapy body and a marble table, i thought i would fly off the table (she made sure i didnt) after the soap massage it was back to the sink trying not to slip on the marble and she rinsed my off. Offered shampooing (i did that the second time i was there and well it wasnt like when you go to get your haircut but actually quite nice) and when finished pulled me with her wrapped a towel round me and called for the little lady who came and picked my up and took my to the massage room and gave my a full body oilmassage.

The second time i was there i also had a facial, starting with a mudmask and followed by a facemassage so nice.

Everything is then finished off with a cup of applethe.

I have never been so clean and had a smoother skin in my entire life so i can definetly recommend it. But like i said the experience was intersting.

Back home after 4 weeks in wonderful Turkey. I was pleasantly surprised with everything. We meet alot of friendly people, both locals and other tourists. Tried the turkish bath (that alone i am saving for another post), went paragliding and diving, and did a whole lot of relaxing. Drank a few efes (the local beer), tried the local sarap (wine) both red and white, never thought i would find a good wine in Turkey, well im happy to say that i was wrong.

Its time, leaving for my vacation later today, 4 wonderful weeks with good friends, sun, warm ocean and most of all no work just play:)

I will propably post some news here, well i better do that or my mum will f ly down to Turkey and pick me up. But i guess its mums job to worry about their kids, even though i consider myself a grown up.

My apartment is clean, the laundry is done, suitcase is packed, now its just time to lean back and relax until my train leaves for Kastrup :)

Turkey here we come!!

Just booked a planeticket to Turkey, from september 25 to october 21 :) My BFF Jessica is coming with me for 3 weeks and the final week my friend Caroline will come down and spend the last week with me.

This is going to be a wonderful vacation, a former coworker just came home from Turkey and said, be prepared for sun, swimming, good food, and loads of shopping. Apparently genuine fake designclothes, shoes and clocks are cheap down there.

Been great few days here in Reykjavík. Always nice to spend some quality time with the family.

Always the same questions though, when are you moving back to Iceland. Not anytime soon is always my reply. When you have an expensive hobby like i do, yes traveling is my hobby its so much better to live abroad, especially because its so much cheaper, and i don't have to travel the most expensive link between Iceland and Europe.

Now its all work and of course some fun for few weeks before its time for my next trip. Turkey with my BFF Jessica. It will be so much fun, exited about discovering new things.

My second jogg here in Iceland, its a strange feeling runnig/jogging the same routes i was running as a teenager. The difference is that back then i was doing it because i had to, during football practise, and now i do it well not for fun but because its good for me and i want to stay healthy and fit.

On monday i went out for a jogg with Helga, a much needed one after a weekend of festivities. On saturday, was Maggi's 30th b-day with a BBQ, beer and wine. It was also the annual culturenight in Reykjavik, so later in the evening i went down town to watch fireworks and check out some pubs with Helga and Maggi.

On sunday the next party took place, Helga just finished college, she is a student now and is starting the Uni on monday, and the rest of the family was here to celebrate Maggi. So much fun coming home and meeting up with everyone.

Yesterday we had a sistersnight and went to the movies, just the 3 of us and saw bridesmaids, i havnt laughed so hard in a long time, we even got the evil eye from a few women when the were leaving, dont know what their problem was, we just thought the movie was funny =)

Well, i off to the wonderful thermalpools here, dont know if i will swim today, or just relax in the hot tubs and enjoy the little sun that is shining.

Just a few pics from our great days together. Today we went to Aspö a small island just outside of Karlskrona. We went to the beach, grilled some hotdogs and the boys bathed in the sea. The chocolate pics are from kolmården, Halldor and Hermann won this 2000g of milk chocolate. I dont know how many times i have tried winning one, and it never happened, so im just happy that they share it with me :)

Tomorrow this invasion is over and they head home to Iceland.

Amazing, havnt been out for a run since 2. august and still i jogged faster today than before, so maybe drinking wine, eating junkfood and just enjoying life is the secret formula everybody is looking for ;-)

Now Runa and company have been here for a week and we have done so much since they arrived. Last wednesday we drove to Varberg to meet aunt Ragna, and our cousins Óli, Raggi and Einar with their familys. We were there for 2 days, just spending good time together.

Last saturday we drove to Öland and visitied Ölands choklad, and a small factory that makes lollipops and other candy. We drove past old castles and just had a great day. It was Eiríkurs b-day so in the evening we had steaks, and baked potatos and finished off with a wonderful chocolatecake.

Monday we woke up superearly and drove to Kolmården zoo. Its the biggest zoo in the nordic countrys and it was great. The animals have a lot of space and new for this year was riding in cable cars over the safari park. We stayed one night at the Vildmarkshotellet. After a long day in the zoo we went to the spa and relaxed in the pools before dinner.

Now we dont have any more plans, just going to do what we feel like until the go home on friday. Its been so great having them, will be hard to see them leave.

After 3 hours on the beach, took this years first dip today, i decided to go for a jogg. Was tough as hell today, the motivation and the willpower was there, still it was tough today. But when i look at the time and knowing that i had to do som walking today, still it was faster than last time i jogged this route, so i guess my fitness is improving :)

Working nights this week, the first night of tree tonight.

Tomorrow im going to get a haircut and highlights, wanna look good when my vacation starts ;)

Went out for a jogg/walk today, ran about 4 km to the gym, did some weight lifting and jogged back home. My old nemesis my intestine was teasing my while i was jogging to the gym so i kind of had to jogg and walk, jogg some more then a little walk, well i guess you know what i mean.

Only one week until the invasion of Runa, Eiríkur and the boys. It will be so much fun, and i have started counting down workpasses until my vacation, only 5 nights and maybe one day, i am hoping that i dont have to work the last day, because then i get an extra day on our trip to Varberg. Raggi and Verena are with their girls in Sweden and the plan is to meet them, Oli and Linda and their boys and of course aunt Ragga and Oli, it will be great.

Nightmode does that exist?

I am only working nights this month and i think my body has switched over to nightmode if that is possible. Last week i worked 6 nights on 7 days and i have been paying the price since. I cant sleep at night, friday i lay awake till about 4 am, saturday i fell asleep around 5 am and this morning last time i checked the time it was 6 am. As a result i sleep very late, today i woke up at 13:30 pm its ok since im working tonight, this time i only have 2 nights and total of 4 nights this week so i hope it will turn around. I have to be able to sleep at night when the invasion begins in 15 days. Rúna and Eiríkur are coming with the boys and i know they will not accept a sleepy aunt during the day. The best part i will get my VACATION when they come, 2 weeks, lovelyful!!

Been thinking a lot about the tragedy Norway this weekend, how can something so horrible happen so close to home?

Went out for a run and while i ran round bryggarberget the police was closing off a small area there, with their police do not cross line, at the same time Iron Maiden was telling my I´m on a highway to hell.... little ironic right? I hope nothing serious happened. I ran to the gym and lifted some weights for 45 min before i walked home. The last times ive gone to the gym ive done something i havent done in like 20 years, ive jumped rope and let my tell you its a lot harder than it was 20 years ago. I did 3 30 sec sessions today and well i understand why boxers use jumping ropes in their exercise.

Went to my friend Anders house yesterday and picked some red currant, he doesnt want it and i love it!! Dont know if one of the reasons i like red currant so much is because when i was a kid it was a forbidden zone in my grandparents yard, so the fun part was stealing som berries and hoping not to get caught ;) i can understand grandma who made jam for the whole family. I am not going to make jam out of mine, no i love putting fresh berries and musli into my yogurth in the morning.

The sun is back :) and i am happy

Went out for a intervall run, ran/jogged for 4 min, then walked for 2, just did a 4 k lap took me 32 min so i dont run very fast but it gets my heartrate racing.

Was so tired yesterday, worked 3 nights last weekend and i felt like a zombie yesterday. Tonight next 3 worknight period starts =)

Its been raining today so i went to the gym instead of running outside. 30 min intervall on the treadmill and than i lifted some weights.

Been working nights this weekend, and getting some much wanted overtime, will be nice with some extra cash when i take my vacation later. The first group is coming back and the second half is starting their vacation. I dont mind, mine is yet to come and i am planning on having the greatest time.

I was looking att trips earlier today, me and Jess are going on a vacation together in the end of september for a few weeks, we think it will be Turkey, starting in Istanbul and then going down to the east mediterian coast and fly home from there. Sounds nice i know, the price for the ticket was reasonable and from what i have heard Turkey isnt very expensive, so that is definataly on the plus side.

Went walking earlier, with my toning sticks, it was to warm to sit on my balcony so i went for a walk instead.

Mum and dad went home yesterday, we had a very nice week together. Saturdaynight we walked downtown and had dinner att Lisas sjökrog, a restaurant on the pier. Its floating in the guest harbour, so it was different. We went shopping in Växjö and i think with the list Helga sent with them she singlehandily saved HM´s economy for june!
